On September 5th, White Sand Traveler officially celebrates our 20th anniversary, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. What began twenty years ago as a simple passion for exploring the world has grown into a beautiful community of travelers, and we are so incredibly thankful.

As a white sand traveler, our hearts are full as we celebrate 20 years in business—20 years of honeymoons, destination weddings, and journeys that became lifelong memories. This milestone is not really about us. It is about you – our tribe, the travelers who trusted us with the moments that mattered.

White Sand Traveler began with a core team of just three.
By year two, we had found our niche: helping couples plan honeymoons and destination weddings, primarily in the Caribbean and Mexico. We invested in learning the resorts inside and out, building relationships with suppliers, and curating a preferred list of properties we could stand behind completely.

One 9 p.m. Call, and a Lesson in Not Settling
One early call still captures this philosophy. Around 9 p.m., a woman named Shanna called. She was planning her honeymoon to the Maldives and had her heart set on an overwater villa. Other travel agents had told her to abandon the idea entirely.
She walked me through her vision and her budget. About five minutes into the call, she started crying. I listened, told her I understood the disappointment, and said I would do everything I could to get her as close to that vision as possible.
As a white sand traveler, Shanna’s dreams were our priority, and we were determined to make them a reality.
It was my first time booking a honeymoon to the Maldives, so I researched carefully and eventually found a way to make the vision work. Then we reached a snag: the available travel protection came only as limited credit, not the coverage I felt Shanna deserved. I called her, explained that I was not comfortable with those terms, and asked her to hold off on her deposit while I explored other options.
I went back to work and found a better option. The trip happened. Shanna, her mother, and her sister have remained clients—and friends—ever since, and this January I am curating another trip for the three of them.
